Bertin Environics is supporting Canada’s River-class Destroyer (RCD) Project, in cooperation with Felix Technology Inc. of Canada.
In collaboration with Felix Technology, Bertin Environics will provide Technical Information and Engineering Support for the RCD’s Ship- Installed Chemical and Biological Systems.
This system will provide the crew with early warning of potential airborne hazards in high-threat maritime environments, and will form part of a broader initiative to deliver shipboard protection and situational awareness for naval platforms. A Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) solution developed [JD1.1] by Bertin Environics has also been installed inon the Royal Canadian Navy’s (RCN) two Joint Support Ships. Under Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy, the RCD Project will deliver the RCN’s primary surface combatants, capable of operating independently or as part of international coalition forces anywhere in the world.
