Bertin Environics is proud to announce that it has supplied chemical detectors for the CBRN suite aboard the first of five F-110 class frigates for the Spanish Navy, the Bonifaz.

This achievement was accomplished in close collaboration with our local Spanish representative, IBATECH Tecnología.

The Bonifaz, officially launched on 11 September 2025, is the lead ship of the F-110 programme. It marks the first of five vessels that will significantly upgrade Spain’s naval fleet with state-of-the-art anti-air, anti-surface, and anti-submarine warfare capabilities, advanced automation, and digitalised systems.

Bertin Environics’ chemical detectors are central to the vessel’s CBRN defenses, enhancing protection for crew and platform against chemical threats. The detectors integrate seamlessly into the broader sensor network aboard the frigate, helping ensure operational readiness in diverse maritime environments.

Together with Ibatech, Bertin Environics is honoured to contribute to this landmark programme, which reaffirms Spain’s commitment to cutting-edge technology, industrial collaboration, and strategic autonomy. We look forward to supporting the remaining four ships in the series as they progress toward delivery in the coming years.
