10.08.10 - New ChemProDMs for the Swedish Defence Material Administration

FMV, Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, has awarded the contract to Environics Oy to deliver Chemical- and Radiation/Nuclear-detection sensors for Swedish future Automatic Warning and Reporting (AWR) system.

The contract was awarded to Environics Oy after open international tendering procedure. Environics solution is based on EnVision Concept. This revolutionary EnVision concept provides remote chemical and radiological detection capability for monitoring the perimeter of key military areas or other high value assets. The system provides chemical and radiological detection information along with location data. The system is completely portable and can be moved from one location to another, whenever CRN detection is needed. It is a lightweight, highly reliable, set-and-forget system that requires only minimal operator interface.

The chemical detection of the AWR solution relies on a new innovative and state-of-art ChemPro Detection Module (ChemProDM), which was launched in Stockholm CBW Symposium in June 2010.
